Bad Times or Good Times

The real estate industry is constantly in the news as everything in the media is about the financial institutions and the government trying to bail them out. So some would speculate about is now a good time to buy real estate or a bad time?

This is a very good question as there are so many different factors in the equation. Depending on where you are in your current financial situation will depend on if now is a good time to invest in real estate or a bad time to invest in real estate.

When I say invest I mean for real estate investing if you are an investor or if you are looking to buy your own piece of real estate to live in.

Commercial real estate is an excellent investment right now as the pricing for lease has gone down and the purchase prices of commercial real estate has gone down.

The St. George Utah commercial real estate market is an excellent investment for any business owners who are looking to move their business into the warm sun and palm trees. There are many golf courses for corporate executives who can do business and play at the same time.

There are certain areas in the United States that do have higher price real estate, however for the most part there are many places where investing in real estate can be a great move as interest rates go down. You may be saying what about the mortgage crisis currently going on. If you are a responsible person with money then right now is a great time to get a loan as lenders are only looking at people who are not dumb with their money.

Lenders have to be more careful these days as compared to recent times when all borrowers had to do get money was to breathe.

So is good times or bad times? Depending on your current situation it could be either one. Remember though that most wealthy people make purchases in “down markets” so the overall question is what side of the fence are you on.
